Stock is breaking its 10 DMA.

Making a sharp negative reversal.

Making gains from its 10 DMA on nearly twice normal volume.

Stock needs to hold its 10 DMA, currently at $142.05.

Any further weakness today would be a serious concern.

A break of the 200 DMA ($138.68) would be a FINAL SELL SIGNAL.

Closed near unchanged.

Remains above the 10 DMA, currently at $212.86.

A break below there would be a SELL SIGNAL.

Shares remain in an uptrend and above their “important-to-watch” 10 DMA line, which is at $129.44  and trending higher.

A break below there would be the 2nd SELL signal.

The 10 DMA is currently at $142.21.

Watching the 10 DMA, currently at $37.13 would be the 1st SELL signal.

I noticed RJF breaking above its 10 DMA line while running my daily stock screens this morning.

Volume was on pace to be well above the normal daily rate.

That bullish action triggered one of my standard BUY SIGNALS.

At 11:04 AM I purchased a 1/3 position.

Late Friday afternoon I got a 1/3 position in PLMR at $130.24.

At that time, it was trading higher from its 10 DMA with a volume increase.

Shares have been in a healthy uptrend since the sharp gains made on earrings 30-days ago.

At this point, there is basically no resistance in the way of further price progress.

However, a break of the 10-day moving average, currently at $128.41 would be a SELL signal.

After starting with a 1/3 position on Tuesday, I added another 1/3 yesterday.

Gold continues to be one of the better places to be in a very rough market.

Stock had continued bullish action today, yet did close well off of the session high.

Any continued declines on above average volume would be my first concern – and if being nimble, a possible sell signal.

After a week of sitting in cash, I decided to pick up a small position in AEM at today’s close. The stock was breaking out to new highs while volume ended up being  +60% above the normal daily rate. Good sign.

Gold stocks are performing well.

This stock has nearly the highest possible ranks. After the close, it was written up as IBD’s Stock of the Day.

The market does remain very bearish, so I will have a tight stop on this selection. My first area of support is the 10 DMA, currently at $97.53.
