TUE 7/14: WBS – SELLING (ALL) P/L: $53.53 -0.27%

3:30 PM – Selling all my shares of this bank stock this afternoon as the stock does not appear positioned to make a meaningful move anytime soon. I would rather reduce my margin and overall market exposure while freeing up cash for another potentially faster-moving opportunity.

James’ Trader’s Tip: Capital Should Always Have a Purpose

  • A stock does not need to break down technically before you decide the capital could be used more effectively elsewhere.

  • Slow-moving positions can limit your flexibility when stronger opportunities begin to emerge.

  • Protecting buying power and maintaining available cash are important parts of active portfolio management.
