MON 2/9: KN – SELLING (ALL) P/L: +$807.94 +8.1%

11:14 AM – Shares are beginning to dip to new morning lows, signaling a loss of short-term momentum. With a solid gain in hand following this quick earnings-related move, I’m selling the entire position to protect quick profits. Stocks are usually volatile for several days post-earrings.

Furthermore, my account has taken a few recent hits, and my priority right now is preserving gains and keeping the account near recent highs (where it is at this moment). Individual traders may have different financial goals, risk tolerances, or time horizons, and you’re always free to manage trades in a way that best fits your plan. As always, I’m available for questions regardless of my personal positioning.

MY BUYS:

James’ Trader’s Tip: Protect Gains Post-Earnings When Possible

• Earnings-driven moves can reverse quickly once momentum stalls.

• Locking in profits after a sharp advance is a risk-management decision, not a market call.

• Preserving capital keeps you positioned for the next high-probability setup. (which is readily available)

• Every trader’s objectives differ — disciplined execution allows flexibility without emotion.
